Electricity yield converted into rapeseed
There is no form of energy as ridiculous as biofuel. We must not count them as renewable energy because the yield has nothing to do with the requirements.
There's 7.6 hectares of rapeseed growing there. But with all the vegetable oil from the rape cultivation, diesel cars only get as far as an electric car with the yield of photovoltaic from a single GEMINI next Generation house. There is also a family living on the tiny 400 m² property.
For this calculation we assume the annual yield of a GEMINI next Generation with 20,000 kWh and the area yield of rape with 1000 litres per hectare.
For the determination of the consumption Spritmonitor.de is used. On March 20, 2019 the following values were displayed:
- 38,950 passenger car with diesel engine with 6.48 l/100 km
- 496 electric cars with 16.91 kWh/100 km
With the average values, 20,000 kWh were sufficient for 118,273 km. Diesel cars would have needed 7,664 liters of vegetable oil, which would have required 7.664 ha of cultivated land.
Anyone who cultivates 7.664 ha of rape would have to be recognized as an agricultural enterprise, and would be allowed to build a residential house on the area of his agricultural enterprise.
